This morning we welcome Tom Dalbo to North Collins!
He is the lately retired pastor of Winchester Community Church
in West Seneca, where he served for 47 years.
Active in the arts, active in their community, active in ministry, he and his wife Janice bring a wealth of experience to us this morning.
Let’s give Pastor Dalbo our full attention as he
brings a message from God’s word.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
The North Collins Junior-Senior High School will be participating in the 1st Annual “Eagle Energy Day”, a community-service project in which faculty, staff, and students work together to make a difference in our community.  The school supplies free labor, but interested community residents provide the “jobs” and materials (e.g. paint, shovel, lawn mower, hammer and nails, etc.).  See applications in foyer for details.

The Yoders are away in Michigan for their annual family vacation and plan on traveling back to North Collins today or tomorrow.

CALENDAR

Wednesday, August 28th
Choir practice at the church at 6:00 pm.

Join us at the church for Bible study and prayer at 7:00 pm.

Friday, August 30th
Check out “Ask the Pastor” at 2:00 pm (TCT Network and Dish Network Channel 26, DirecTV does not carry the program), as Derek tries to make good use of this special opportunity.  “Ask the Pastor” is a live call-in program with a panel of five area pastors answering viewer questions about life and the Bible from the Bible.

Get the most out of the service by asking about our special listening devices.  Pick up one in the back or see an usher for help.  If yours isn’t working properly, don’t be bashful about raising your hand to ask for assistance.

The 3DYouth Group heads out to Harrisburg for the 2013 Missions Trip LATER THIS MORNING!  Be praying for our team as it seeks to serve, learn, and grow in Christian discipleship.  They will be returning on Friday, August 9th.

Sarah Holcomb turns 90 on Tuesday!  Let’s remember her on this special day with prayers, cards, and flowers.

The Yoders will be traveling to Michigan for their annual family vacation after service on August 11th.  Tom Dalbo, retired pastor of Winchester Community Church in West Seneca, will be our guest speaker for August 18th and 25th.

Next Sunday we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper.  If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time.  Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body.  A fellowship meal following the service is NOT planned for next week.
