Interest has been expressed in joining the church. If others would like to be part of a class for prospective members, see Derek or one of the Elders. Wednesday Bible Study & Prayer Meeting meets at 7:00 pm, continuing with our study of Matthew’s gospel. We’re finishing up Jesus’ “Parables of Preparation” in Chapter 25. Are you ready? It’s a great time to join us.
At this year’s Annual Meeting, the congregation approved a proposal to purchase a memorial brick on the Schoolhouse #8 “Walk of Remembrance”. The brick will read: “First Congregational Church, est. 1817”. Today a special collection will be taken to cover the purchase price of $100. All contributions given beyond this amount will be transferred to the general fund.
Interest has been expressed in joining the church. If others would like to be part of a class for prospective members, see Derek or one of the Elders. The class is designed for those considering church membership, but if you’re already a member and still haven’t the foggiest idea what Congregationalism is all about or would like to learn more about the rich history of the CCCC or our local church, come and sit in on these 3- or 4- session class. Details to follow.
Be sure to reserve Saturday, May 5th on your calendars. Dr. T. David Gordon, Professor of Religion and Greek at Grove City College, will be with us to facilitate our 5th Annual Leadership Seminar. All are welcome. Stay tuned for details.
