I would like to thank my church family for the lovely Christmas plant, candy and card plus a nice surprise visit with Alice Yoder and Shirley Reed. It was all appreciated very much.
I’ve been told my recovery from my fall will be long but I’m still most grateful to the home.
May the New Year bring special blessings to all.
Thanks again,
Evelyn Falk
Dear Church Family,
How appreciative Ellsworth and I are for all the prayers that are being sent heavenward, and all the wonderful cards & notes that are such a blessing that have come to me in the hospital and to both of us here at home. We sense the Lord’s inexhaustible supply of grace & help every day.
How thankful we are that Ellsworth feels no pain, only weakness. The Lord is so good to allow us another Christmas together, so it will be a precious Christmas indeed.
Affectionately, Harriett

Advent 2007. Our morning worship services celebrate this season with Advent candles, readings, banners, and special messages. This year’s theme is “Advent of the Apocalypse”, exploring different ways Jesus’ ministry is presented in the gospels and further developed in John’s Apocalypse (the book of Revelation). We will consider themes like Seed of the Woman, King of Kings, a New Moses for a New Exodus, and Angel of the Lord. Christmas is more than prophecy fulfilled. It’s a hint of things to come! Let’s prepare our hearts together for this special season.

Our morning worship services will celebrate this season with Advent candles, readings, banners, and special messages. This year’s theme is “Advent of the Apocalypse”. Church Board meeting at 7:00 pm
Sunday, October 28th
It’s our turn to host this season’s Singspiration (Hymn Sing)! Come and enjoy an evening of singing with our friends from Lake View and First Church of Evans (and other fellowships), beginning at 6:30 pm as we celebrate Reformation Sunday in song. Also, you may want to bring a favorite “harvest-theme” dessert to share during the fellowship time to follow.
Last Sunday, Schoolhouse #8’s “Walk of Remembrance” was officially dedicated. The granite walkway includes over a hundred memorial bricks, including one contributed by FCC. It’s a striking, elegant memorial. See if you can find it!
