Monday, July 26th

The Yoders leave for the annual CCCC Family Conference in Springfield, Mass., and then on to Maine for two weeks of vacation. In Derek’s absence, guest speakers will include Rasheed Akhtar (ISI), Tony Barone (Buffalo City Mission), and Bruce Brown. Be praying for the Yoders (who’ll be praying for you) as well as our Conference and our church during this time of summer travel and transition.

Wednesday, July 28th
While Derek is away, Bible Study and Prayer Meeting will continue to meet at the church at 7:00. (If you would like to host a meeting at your home, see Matt or Garry). On August18th, we will resume our study of 1 Corinthians and a challenging look at Paul’s teaching on spiritual gifts (Chapter 14). It’s a great time to join us!

Sunday, August 15th
Our next community hymn sing will be held at Camp Pioneer’s Wendt Chapel (Herr and Lake Shore Roads in Angola) at 6:00 pm. Plan now to be part of this time of singing and fellowship with friends from area churches. Bring a favorite dessert to pass.

Tri-County Pregnancy Center is planning its annual Walk for Life on Sunday, July 25 in Gowanda. If you want to help this important “life-affirming” ministry in our area by participating in the walk or by showing your support in other ways, see the insert.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
This morning we welcome Tony Barone to our pulpit. No stranger to our congregation, Mr. Barone has served for many years as chaplain for the Buffalo City Mission. Now retired, he continues to serve area churches in a variety of ways. Let’s give him our full attention a he brings a message from God’s word.

Next Sunday we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper. If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time. Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body. We will share a fellowship meal together following the service. Bring a dish to pass!

We welcome Lance and Laura back to North Collins! The Ostmans have been involved in translation and church work as missionaries in the Philippines for many years, and it has been our privilege to have a part in that ministry almost from the beginning. Let’s give Lance our full attention as he brings us a message from God’s eternal word.

The Yoders are planning to leave after service today to visit family in New Jersey. Tony Barone, retired chaplain from the Buffalo City Mission, will be our special guest speaker next week.
