T. David’s “Johnny” books are in. If you requested copies, pick up one of each on the back table, and start reading! Be thinking about a good first meeting date. This is in preparation for our upcoming Leadership Forum with T. David Gordon next month, over the weekend of May 20-22.
Plan now to be a part of these special seasonal services:

Friday, April 22nd – Good Friday Service at the Wesleyan Church at 7:00 pm
Sunday, April 24th – Easter Sunday. The flowers at the front of the Winter Chapel were donated by the family of Beulah Beaver, whose funeral service was held on Wednesday.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Thank you to all who gave so generously to help meet our 1st quarter missionary budget. We are less than $100 from our goal. Any surplus will be applied to next quarter’s giving. Don’t forget, all mission contributions must be designated.
– Thank you, Audrey Krebs
In preparation for our upcoming Leadership Forum with T. David Gordon in May, we’ll be working through his Johnny books – “Why Johnny Can’t Preach” and “Why Johnny Can’t Sing Hymns” for our next Coffee with Calvin reading group. If you’re interested in joining us, see Derek.
Next Sunday we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper. If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time. Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body.
We will share a fellowship meal together following the service. Bring a dish to pass! Also, plan to linger over dessert and coffee as we hold our first family meeting of 2011. Come with any general questions or concerns you may have. Be thinking specifically about outreach – strategies and suggestions to help us be more effective witnesses for the gospel.
