ANNOUNCEMENTS
Congratulations go out to Sara (Clapper) and Joel Mason on the safe arrival of Noah Thomas, their third child.  He was born on Wednesday afternoon.  Both Sara and the baby are doing well.  (FYI – he weighed 9 lbs. and measured 23 inches.)

Onward in October 2013 … and in coming months!  Our Sunday School teachers invite you to come to Sunday School every week at 9:30.  October is a great time to remember good study habits:  be on time for class, bring your Bible and offering to class, and bring a friend to class as we learn together.  Let’s make a renewed effort to learn and apply our Bibles at Sunday School, with Pre-School through Adult classes available!

ISI Fredonia has an immediate need for host families for 4 new students who want to see life in an American home.  Contact Harriett Rupp for details of this opportunity for service.

Next Sunday we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper.  If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time.  Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body.  A fellowship meal following the service is NOT planned for next week, due to our Singspiration! plans later in the evening.

CALENDAR
Wednesday, October 30th
Choir practice at the church at 6:00 pm.

Join us at the church for Bible study and prayer at 7:00 pm.  We’re studying the Old Testament prophets – their ministries, their message, and their madness!  We’re finishing up the book of Amos and getting ready to start Zephaniah.   It’s a great time to join us!

NEXT Sunday, November 3rd
Plan now to join Jim Raub and our friends from area churches at 6:30 pm as we host our annual Fall Singspiration, a seasonal favorite for many.

Sunday, November 10th
3DYouth Group meets at the First Church of Evans at 6:00 pm for our first study in the gospel of Mark followed by football training camp and refreshments.  Don’t forget!  The Chili Bowl, our annual youth football game against MPB, is scheduled for the following week (Nov. 17th).  Hit the gym, kids!

Get the most out of the service by asking about our special listening devices.  Pick up one in the back or see an usher for help.  If yours isn’t working properly, don’t be bashful about raising your hand to ask for assistance.
