We are pleased to welcome Dean Smith to North Collins for our 11th Annual Leadership Forum.  Dr. Smith has served for many years on the Old Testament Department faculty at Geneva College and is currently interim pastor at College Hill Church (RP) in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.  His theme is “Acts for Today”.  Plan now to join us for what is sure to be an enjoyable, challenging time of study and application.  Details to follow.

Check out “Ask the Pastor” on Friday, April 18th at 2:00 pm (TCT Network and Dish Network channel 26, DirecTV does not carry the program), as Derek tries to make good use of this special opportunity.  “Ask the Pastor” is a live call-in program with a panel of five area pastors answering viewer questions about life and the Bible from the Bible.

The church’s financial statement for March 2014 is posted for review in office over the copy machine.

Wednesday evening Bible study is suspended this week because of the extra Holy Week activities.  We will resume our study in Titus on April 23rd with a look at Christian responsibilities in a non-Christian culture.

During the spring exam season, the North Collins High School will be using our building for extra testing space from time to time.  The first group meets next week.  Thank you for your understanding as we try to be good neighbors (and good lights) to our friends across the street.

Announcements

The farewell luncheon for Bruce and Shirley Brown has been postponed.  Due to changes in their housing arrangement in Texas, they have to delay their departure.  They’re disappointed, but that means we get to keep them a while longer!

Our 30-Hour Famine food drive,
 to benefit the North Collins Food Pantry,
 comes to a close next Sunday, March 9th.
  Drop off non-perishable foods (boxed foods, cans, juice, rice, etc.)
 to the table in the front foyer so items can be
 sorted, bagged and delivered
