The North Collins High School will be using our building for extra testing space one last time this academic year – tomorrow.  Thank you for your understanding as we try to be good neighbors (and good lights) to our friends across the street.

Next Sunday we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper.  If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time.  Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body.  We are NOT planning a fellowship meal at this time.

In a couple of weeks, Derek is going to begin a sermon in the book of Ecclesiastes.  In preparation for that, you may want to read this intriguing book ahead of time, have its themes fresh in your mind, and be praying with Derek as we look forward to this enriching time of learning together.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Dean Smith to North Collins!  Dr. Smith has been our guest speaker for this year’s Leadership Forum.  He comes with a wealth of academic and pastoral experience and currently serves as interim pastor at the College Hill Presbyterian Church in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.  Let’s give him our full attention as he opens God’s Word for us this morning.

The church’s financial statement for April 2014 is posted for review in the office over the copy machine.

3DYouth meets TONIGHT at the First Church of Evans at 6:00 pm for life lessons from Mark followed by whiffle ball practice and refreshments.  Don’t forget, the big showdown with MPB is only two weeks away!

Sit’n’Sew has 4 quilts that are almost done, but need a few more hand stitches to finish labels, make ties, and add binding!  And, we are ready to design our next few quilts with donated fabric scraps.  Come join us at 10:00 am.  Bring a lunch, if you like, and we can “Munch’n’Lunch”!  Coffee is provided, along with great company!

Check out “Ask the Pastor” on Friday, April 18th at 2:00 pm (TCT Network and Dish Network channel 26, DirecTV does not carry the program), as Derek tries to make good use of this special opportunity.  “Ask the Pastor” is a live call-in program with a panel of five area pastors answering viewer questions about life and the Bible from the Bible.
