Earlier this spring, the Lakeview Community Church’s parsonage sustained considerable interior damage from a water leak – a problem made worse by a balking insurance company.  The regional CCCC conference is inviting area churches to contribute toward the “Lakeview Parsonage Project”.  For the next several weeks, we will be taking a second collection for those who would like to participate.

Next Sunday, we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper.  If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time.  Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body.  A fellowship meal following the service is NOT planned at this time.

In some Christian traditions, today is known as Trinity Sunday.  Many churches pause on this day to reflect specifically on God’s tri-personality as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  The red scarf remains on the cross this morning and the red stole on the lectern (with its three interlocking circles) to mark this Christian truth.
