Announcements
The Yoders are gearing up for two weeks of vacation in Maine beginning tomorrow, July 29th. John Brown will bring two more messages in August. If there is any church business that needs immediate attention, you may contact Bruce Temple at 243-6971. Derek will be back in the study on Tuesday, August 13th. Check out other dates on the summer calendar insert.
Our choir is in a time of transition.  If you would like to help us provide special music for our services beginning in the fall, please see Kathy or Alice.  We would love to have you join us!
We are looking for a new volunteer to change the School Street church sign on a monthly basis. If you are interested, please see Alice.

Don’t forget to silence your devices.
Calendar
Monday, July 29th: AA meets downstairs from 8:00-9:15 pm.
Wednesday, July 31st: Midweek Bible Study and Prayer Meeting is suspended until Derek’s return. But join us on August 14th when we resume our study in Luke 9. We are looking at the ministry of the twelve disciples. What does their “mission” of healing and teaching have to do with Jesus’ identity as the Messiah? With the kingdom of God? With Herod?  It’s a great time to join us!
Friday, August 2nd: We will be hosting the Esther Munson Tripp memorial service on Friday morning at 11:00 am. Esther was Irene Johnson’s sister. There will be a catered meal to follow. See Shirley Reed or Olive Hill with any questions.
Thursday, August 15th: Dewey Missionary Society meets at 10.00 am in the Adult Sunday School classroom.  Join us as we read missionary letters and spend time in prayer.  Kathy will lead us in devotions.
Get the most out of the service by asking about our special listening devices.  Pick up one in the back or see an usher for help.  If yours isn’t working properly, don’t be bashful about raising your hand to ask for assistance.
