Announcements

The 2019 Advent season begins next week on December 1^st! Our morning worship services will commemorate the season with candles, readings, and special messages. This year’s theme is “TIDINGS OF COMFORT AND JOY.” It will focus on the good news of Christmas—how through the incarnation, God draws near, makes long-distance promises,

offers hope beyond grief and makes room for the overlooked. Pray that this will be an encouraging, challenging time in our congregation as we reflect on Jesus’ work at Christmas.

Be praying with the Nominating Committee as it meets to put together a slate of candidates to be considered for office at the Annual Meeting in February 2020. If you would like to know more about our church’s nomination and election process, if you would like to submit a name for consideration, or if you believe the Lord is urging you to step forward—don’t hesitate to speak to Olive, Fred, or Derek.

As in years past, we will NOT celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of December, which marks the beginning of Advent.

Wednesday November 27^th: Midweek Bible Study and Prayer Meeting is suspended this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. But join us the following Wednesday evening (Dec. 4^th), when we will conclude our look at the ministry of the 70 in Luke 10 as Jesus makes his way to Jerusalem and the cross. It’s a great time to join us!
