Next week marks the beginning of Advent 2007.
Our morning worship services will celebrate this season with Advent candles, readings, banners, and special messages. This year’s theme is “Advent of the Apocalypse”. We will explore different ways Jesus’ ministry is presented in the gospels and further developed in John’s Apocalypse (the book of Revelation). We will consider themes like Seed of the Woman, King of Kings, a New Moses for a New Exodus, and Angel of the Lord. Christmas is more than prophecy fulfilled. It’s a hint of things to come! Let’s prepare our hearts together for this special season.

Make note of these dates for your Christmas calendar:
Saturday, December 8th – Ladies’ Christmas Luncheon at 12:00. Bring your favorite Christmas casserole or dessert to share.
Sunday, December 16th – Christmas Tea at the Parsonage, 2–5 pm
Sunday, December 23rd – FCC’s 2007 Sunday School Program, “It Seems Impossible!” This original production will be presented during our family worship time.
Monday, December 24th – Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, 6:30 pm.

“Mitten Tree” collections to support Seneca Mission, Cornerstone Manor & City Mission is set up in the back of the sanctuary.
