Announcements

We are pleased to welcome T. David Gordon back to North Collins and to our fellowship. Dr. Gordon currently serves as Professor of Religion and Greek at Grove City College and has been our teaching guest for this year’s 14th Leadership Forum. Let’s give him our full attention as he opens God’s Word for us this morning.
If you haven’t made summer vacation plans yet, you may want to consider the beautiful Gordon College campus in Wenham, Mass., host to the 70th CCCC Annual Gathering (July 31st – Aug 3rd). This year’s theme is “Developing a Culture of Peace”—as it relates to our personal walk of faith, our life in Christian community, and our ministry of outreach and evangelism. Check out the back table for more information on seminars, accomodations, and registration. See you in Massachusetts! (Maybe the snow will be gone by then!)
You may want to consider a special May contribution to Bruce and Shirley Brown following their recent health emergencies and hospitalizations. If so, please make your checks out to the church but designate ‘BROWN MEDICAL’  in the memo.
Calendar
Monday, April 30th: AA meets downstairs from 8:00–9:15 pm.
Wednesday, May 2nd:  Midweek Bible Study and Prayer Meeting at 7:00 pm. Join us as we resume our study in Luke 3 about John the Baptist and the people’s different responses to his ministry. We’ll also consider Jesus’ genealogy at the end of the chapter. It’s a great time to join us!
Sunday, May 6th:
·       Next week we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper. If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time. Don’t be shy about taking advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body. A fellowship meal is NOT scheduled at this time. Laura and Shirley are on setup.
·       3DYouth Group meets at the First Church of Evans at 6:00 pm for life lessons from the Psalms followed by games and refreshments.
Saturday, May 12th: Choir Practice at 9 am.  Please join us!
Get the most out of the service by asking about our special listening devices.  Pick up one in the back or see an usher for help.  If yours isn’t working properly, don’t be bashful about raising your hand to ask for assistance.
