Announcements
Please note the enclosed insert (“Singing the Psalms”) as the Elders consider the importance of the Psalms and propose a more prominent place for them in our worship services. See Derek with any questions or concerns you may have.

THIS IS THE LAST WEEK to contribute to the “India Bible Project” and help the Raj family provide Telugu bibles for the hundreds in their churches who do not own their own. Thank you for your generous contributions.  If you intended to make a donation but forgot, just see Alice at the end of service.

Next Sunday we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper. If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time. Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body. A fellowship meal following the service is NOT planned at this time.

The Yoders are planning a midweek visit to Grand Rapids. Derek will be available by cell Wednesday to Friday (716-352-9391) and willl be back in the study on Saturday.
Don’t forget to silence your devices.
Calendar
Monday, September 30th: AA meets downstairs from 8:00-9:15 pm.
Wednesday, October 2nd: Midweek Bible Study and Prayer Meeting is suspended this week due to Derek’s absence. When we come back on October 9th we’ll be finishing up our look at the “slough of despond” in Chapter 9, and then it’s on to the disciples’ ministry bloopers. It’s a great time to join us!
Friday-Sunday, October 11th-13th: Plan now to be part of our annual FCC Leadership Weekend coming up next month. Drake Williams, this year’s speaker, will lead us in a topic titled, “After Jesus Left Them: The Dramatic Changed Lives of the Disciples Following His Resurrection.” Each session will also provide devotional reflection for Christians living in today’s world. Lunch will be provided. See insert for details—and don’t forget to sign up in the foyer!
Saturday, October 19th: The annual CCCC Fall Banquet will be held at Fluvanna. Tim Dubeau, our new regional minister, will speak on the theme of “A New Day in the CCCC.”

Get the most out of the service by asking about our special listening devices.  Pick up one in the back or see an usher for help.  If yours isn’t working properly, don’t be bashful about raising your hand to ask for assistance.
