Remember our Christmas Project this year. For each donation to the Eden/North Collins Food Pantry please put an ornament on the small tree in the back of the church. Let's share Christ's love in a tangible way with those in need.

In an effort to reduce the cost of heating the church building, the Church Board again recommends meeting for worship in the Adult Sunday School Classroom during the coldest winter months. We are tentatively planning to hold our first worship service downstairs in the “Winter Chapel” on Dec. 30th at our regular time of 10:45 am. Thank you for your understanding in this important matter.

Announcements
This morning marks the beginning of Advent 2018! Our morning worship services will commemorate the season with candles, readings, and special messages. This year’s themes will be taken from the Apostles’ Creed. We’ll see how the Creed’s statements about Jesus (God’s only Son, conceived by the Spirit, born of a virgin, suffered under Pontius Pilate) are brought to colorful life in the familiar Nativity stories. Pray that this will be an encouraging, challenging time in our congregation as we reflect on Jesus’ work at Christmas.
Be praying for the Nominating Committee as it works to prepare a slate of condidates to be considered for office at the Annual Meeting in February 2019. To submit names see Olive, Fred, or Derek.
