ANNOUNCEMENTS

If you haven’t made summer vacation plans yet, you may want to consider Colorado Springs, host to the 64th Annual CCCC Family Conference, July 16-19. This year’s theme is “Making Disciples”. Check out the back table for more information on seminars, accommodations, and registration. See you in Colorado Springs!

Each year, the Conference invites churches to set aside one Sunday in May to highlight the ministries, developments, and special needs of the CCCC. We have designated today, May 27th, as Conference Sunday. Note the enclosed insert. For the next several weeks, we will be receiving special contributions designated to help support the ongoing ministries of the CCCC.

Next Sunday we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper. If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time. Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body. Our fellowship meal will take place later in the day, however, as part of the season’s first Sunday Night Out at the Doles’ pond.

The next order for hymnals will be placed in mid-June. We could use about 60 more at $15 each. If you would like to contribute to the Dorothy Steff Hymnal Fund, please fill out an order form on the back table. It is helpful to mark your check “Hymnal Fund”. Thank you for your generosity, and may God bless us as we worship Him in joyful song!

CALENDAR

Tuesday, May 29th
Choir practice at the church at 6:00 pm.

For the next several weeks, our midweek Bible study has moved to Tuesdays. Join us at the church at 7:00 pm for our ongoing study in Hebrews (“The Supremacy of Christ”). Also, be meditating on the next hymn in our discussion series (“And Can it Be?”). Extra copies are on the back table along with T. David Gordon’s “Hymns: Criteria for Making Good Ones”.

Sunday, June 3rd
Sunday Night Out at the Doles’ pond on Shirley Road.

Sunday, June 23rd
Join us for our 9th Annual Leadership Forum. Dr. Drake Williams, currently servicing as Vice President of Academic Affairs, Academic Dean, and Professor of New Testament Language and Literature at Tyndale Seminary, the Netherlands, will be our guest speaker. His theme is “Leadership Then and Now: Ideas from Corinthians for Today.” The Williamses are CCCC members and recent additions to our missionary roster. Details to follow.
