ANNOUNCEMENTS

The church’s financial statement for April 2012 is posted for review in the office over the copy machine.

It’s not too early to prepare in welcoming our visiting ISI students to the annual ISI Conference Memorial Day Weekend held in Western New York every year.  If you have an extra bed or two and are willing to be a “bed & breakfast” for a couple of nights, let Harriett Rupp know.  More details to follow …

It’s not too late to contribute to the Dorothy Steff Hymnal Fund!  We could use about 60 more at $15.00 each.  If you would like to fill out an order form on the back table, you may do so.  Otherwise, we will create an order based on our donations.  The next order will hopefully be placed in mid-June.  It would be helpful to our Treasurer if you would mark your gift: "Hymnal Fund." Thank you for your generosity, and may God bless us as we worship him in joyful song!

CALENDAR

Wednesday, May 16^th  

Choir practice at the church at 6:00 pm.

Join us at the church at 7:00 pm for Bible study and prayer.  We are moving into Chapter 10 in our study in Hebrews (“The Supremacy of Christ”).  Also, be meditating on the next hymn in our discussion series (“And Can it Be?”).  Extra copies are on the back table along with T. David Gordon’s  “Hymns:  Criteria for Making Good Ones”.

Thursday, May 17^th

Dewey Missionary Meeting at 10:00 am.  Come hear about what our missionaries are doing, pray for them, and stay for a bag lunch.  We hope to assemble more personal care bags for Cornerstone Manor and City Mission.

Sunday, May 20^th  

3DYouth Group meets at the First Church of Evans at 6:00 pm.  Life lessons from Timothy followed by whiffle ball with MPB and refreshments.
