On Sunday, June 11, 2017, the First Congregational Church of North Collins will celebrate
its 200th birthday! We will mark the occasion with several weekend activities
and would be honored to have you join us.
Friday, June 9th at 6:30 pm - A Service of Remembrance
➧ Celebrate the ministry of pioneer and church-founder John Spencer
➧ Dedicate two stained-glass "Bicentennial" windows in the sanctuary
➧ Refreshments to follow
Saturday, June 10th at 10:30 am - A Day of Activities
➧ Tree planting & dedication on the front lawn
➧ Unseal the 1959 Cornerstone and deposit a new 2017 "Time Capsule"
➧ Hot dogs served for lunch following the "Time Capsule" - the first 200 guests get theirs free!
➧ Family picnic beginning at 5:00 pm at Doles' Pond
Sunday, June 11th at 10:45 am - Services of Worship & Celebration
➧ Family worship at 10:45 am
➧ Catered lunch at 12:30 pm
➧ Afternoon service of Celebration & Hope at 2:00 pm

AA meets from 8:00 – 9:15 pm.
Wednesday,

Choir practice at 6:00 pm.
Bible study and prayer at the church
is suspended this week in preparation for the Bicentennial weekend. But join us on June 14th at 7:00
pm as we continue our study of the great themes of Genesis. We’re in Chapter 46 and are looking at
Jacob’s migration to Egypt. It’s a great
time to join us!
Friday, June 9th
Our weekend
celebration kicks off at 6:30 pm with a service of remembrance, including a
historical presentation about John Spencer (Traci Langworthy, JCC) and the
dedication of two new Bicentennial windows.
Saturday, June 10th
Check the invitations for
times and places for Saturday events, including the tree dedication, unsealing
the old cornerstone, grilling 200 free hotdogs for the Village, and chicken
barbecue at the Dole’s.
Sunday, June 11th
Following our regular family
worship hour, we’ll share a catered meal together downstairs at 12:30, followed
by a concluding service of hope (Dayle Keefer, CCCC).
Sunday, June 25th
3DYouth meets at the First
Church of Evans at 4:00 pm for life lessons from Psalms followed by activities
and our year-end barbecue!
