Next Sunday, February 2nd, we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper.  If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time.  Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body.  We WILL share a fellowship meal together following the service.  Bring a dish to pass!
Also, in conjunction with our fellowship meal, a baby shower for Jen Haney is being planned.  See Alice for gift ideas as we look forward to congratulating the Haneys and welcoming little Keegan to our church family!  Plan now to be part of this special time.

If you would like to learn how to serve people more effectively in 2014 and beyond, then join us as Shirley Brown presents a hands-on seminar based on her experience in parish nursing and passion for practical, compassionate discipleship, Jesus’ style. It will include topics such as observing people’s needs, assessing situations, making plans, and other relevant issues. It’s not just for Deacons, but anyone who wants to grow in this important area is welcome. The sessions will begin at 10:30 am and finish sometime around 2:00.  A light soup-and-salad lunch will be provided.  Sign up today on the back table.

Check out “Ask the Pastor” on Friday, Jan. 17that 2:00 p.m. (TCT Network and Dish Network channel 26, DirecTV does not carry the program), as Derek tries to make good use of this special opportunity. “Ask the Pastor” is a live call-in program with a panel of five area pastors answering viewer questions about life and the Bible from the Bible.

Sat.
