ANNOUNCEMENTS
This morning we welcome Tony Barone to our pulpit. No stranger to our congregation, Mr. Barone has served for many years as chaplain for the Buffalo City Mission. Now retired, he continues to serve area churches in a variety of ways. Let’s give him our full attention a he brings a message from God’s word.

Next Sunday we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper. If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time. Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body. We will share a fellowship meal together following the service. Bring a dish to pass!

Ladies’ Bible Study at Evie Mann’s home in Eden at 7:30 pm. If you’re looking for more study, encouragement, and prayer in your life, you may want to consider joining this study of the gospel of Mark.

Wednesday, April 28th
Choir practice at the church at 6:00 pm.

Bible Study and Prayer meeting at 7:00 pm. Join us as we continue on in our study of 1 Corinthians. Join us for a fresh, new season of study. It’s a great time to join us!

Thursday, April 29th
Dewey Missionary meets at the church at 10:00 am.

Elders’ meeting at 6:30 pm. Come prepared to discuss Chapter 16 in the Elders Handbook (“The Church”).

Saturday, May 15th
Church Work Day! There is a “to-do” list in the foyer. If you see something that needs to be done, add it to the list! Bring your own garden tools, cleaning supplies, etc. See you at 9:00 am!

Sunday, May 16th
Singspiration! at Angola UCC. Details to follow.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

We welcome Lance and Laura back to North Collins! The Ostmans have been involved in translation and church work as missionaries in the Philippines for many years, and it has been our privilege to have a part in that ministry almost from the beginning. Let’s give Lance our full attention as he brings us a message from God’s eternal word.

The church’s financial statement for March 2010 is posted for review in the office over the copy machine.

The Yoders are planning to leave after service today to visit family in New Jersey. Tony Barone, retired chaplain from the Buffalo City Mission, will be our special guest speaker next week.

CALENDAR
Formal Bible studies are suspended this week at Evie Mann’s (study of Mark’s Gospel on Tuesdays) and the church
(1 Corinthians on Wednesdays), but will resume on
April 27th and 28th.

Thursday, April 29th

Check out “Ask the Pastor” on Wednesday, April 7th at 2:00 pm (TCT Network and Dish Network channel 26; Direct TV does not carry the program), as Derek tries to make good use of this special opportunity. “Ask the Pastor” is a live call-in program with a panel of five area Senior Pastors answering viewer questions about life and the Bible from the Bible.
