ANNOUNCEMENTS
Next Sunday we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper. If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time. Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body. Following our Communion meal, we’ll gather downstairs for a fellowship meal.

Also next week, the COFFEE WITH CALVIN reading group is planning to gather over dessert to discuss Ryken’s book “Discovering God”. If you’re a part of that group, get busy reading!

Choir practice at the church at 6:00 pm.

Bible Study & Prayer Meeting at 7:00 pm. We’re making our way through Paul’s teaching on the resurrection (1 Corinthians 15). It’s a great time to join us!

Saturday, October 2nd
Be praying about our Parish Pig Roast at the Celebrate North Collins festivities, that our witness to the community would be faithful and winsome. Joins us at noon behind the firemen’s training center for a sandwich and glass of birch beer.

Thank you to my Church Family for your prayers, cards and visits and for the basket of lovely flowers, which I am still enjoying. Love - Olive

Get the most out of the services by asking about our special listening devices. Pick up one in the back or see an usher for help. If yours isn’t working properly, don’t be bashful about raising your hand to ask for assistance.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dewey Missionary Society invites our whole church family to be involved in giving financially to the CCCC Missions Project: “Educational Materials for Micronesia so that the Christian High School in Mizpah can have more adequate resources. If you would like to donate, please see Alice or Harriett.

As part of “Celebrate North Collins” (a communitywide event on Saturday, October 2nd, to help raise money for the North Collins Library), we are hoping to contribute a pig roast. It’s a tasty way to be visible in the community, and it gives us a chance to hand out gospel tracts and church literature along with pork sandwiches, glasses of birch beer, and a friendly witness. If you would like to be involved (planning, set-up, serving, clean-up), let Derek know. It’s a great opportunity to put a warm face on our church, but it’s labor intensive. Without volunteers, this little piggy can’t go to market.
