back on track THIS AFTERNOON with an October outing at the Seneca Hawk
Fun Center (11979 Southwestern in Irving).
$10 for go-carts, $6 for mini-golf ($4 for children). Meet at the First Church of Evans at 5:30 pm
and return by 8:00. All are
welcome. Bring friends!
It's "Onward
in October" Month in Sunday School! This is our
month to remember to be on time for Sunday School at 9:30, bring
your Bible, bring an offering, and bring a friend who wants to learn about the
Bible with you! Let's keep working hard to memorize our Bible verses, too!
Choir practices are
now from 9-10 a.m. one Saturday morning per month, usually
toward the end of the month. If you would like to join choir, please
see Alice or Kathy for the date. We would love to have you come sing
with us!

prayer meeting is suspended this week.
Join us for a presentation about the opioid problem in our communities
and churches followed by a panel discussion.
Dr. Paul Updike, Medical Director of Addiction and Pain Services at
Catholic Health, is the featured speaker.
Derek has been invited to sit on the panel. First Church of Evans is hosting this timely
event at 7:00 pm in the Community House.

next Wednesday, October 8th, as we begin a brand- new study in the gospel of Luke. It’s a great time to join us!
Sunday,
October 8th: 3DYouth meets here at
6:00 pm for life lessons from the Psalms followed by activities and
refreshments.
Thursday, October 12th: Sit'n'Sew starting
at 10 a.m. Stay as long as you like to work on new projects for this
year! If you can stay longer into the afternoon, feel free to bring your
own lunch. Coffee is provided.
Thursday, October 19th: Dewey Missionary Meeting at10
a.m. We will be discussing business and reading letters/praying for our
missionaries around the world. Coffee is provided.

October 28th: Join our WNY /
Northwestern PA churches at Fluvanna Community Church for this year’s annual
CCCC Regional Fall Banquet. It’s being
called an “Indoor Picnic” and will include activities and games, including a
brief report by Derek on our bicentennial celebration. There is no charge for the meal, but a
special offering will be take up to help cover the evening’s expenses. The evening begins at 5:00 pm. Reservation deadline is Sunday, October 22nd. See the sign-up sheet in the foyer for
details.
