ANNOUNCEMENTS

Sunday, January 6th

Plan to be part of tonight’s “Little Christmas” Community Hymn Sing at the First Church of Evans. Come at 6:30 pm and join our friends from participating churches as we sing favorite carols and bring the Christmas season to a close. Bring a favorite dessert to share during the fellowship time to follow.

Tuesday, January 8th
There will be no Ladies’ Bible Study this week. We’re finishing up the Pastoral Epistles and are about to begin an exciting new study. If you looking for more study, encouragement, and prayer in your life, consider joining this group. We meet at Evie Mann’s at 8:00 pm.

Wednesday, January 9th
Choir practice at 6:00 pm.

Bible Study & Prayer Meeting here at church at 7:00 pm. We’re in the final sections of Matthew’s gospel: the crucifixion & resurrection in Chapter 28. It’s a great time to join us.

In an effort to reduce heating costs this winter, the Church Board again recommends meeting in the Adult Sunday School Classroom for worship during the coldest winter months, like we did last year. Once again, alternate locations for affected Sunday School & Junior Church classes are being considered. We recommend holding our first service of the season in the “Winter Chapel” on Dec. 30th. Thank you for your understanding in this important matter. - The Church Board

Be praying with the Nominating Committee as they meet to prepare a slate of candidates to be considered for office at the Annual Meeting in February 2008. To submit names for consideration or to make any other comments pertaining to the nominating process, see Olive, Fred, or Derek in the coming weeks. Pray with us during this important time in our church.

Trustee: Fred Botko Nursery: Lynda Francis
