ANNOUNCEMENTS
Check out “Ask the Pastor” on Wednesday, May 18th at 2:00 pm (TCT Network and Dish Network, channel 26; DirecTV does not carry the program), as Derek tries to make good use of this special opportunity. “Ask the Pastor” is a live call-in program with a panel of five area Senior Pastors answering viewer questions about life and the Bible from the Bible.

The Tri-County Crisis Pregnancy Center will hold its annual “Walk for Life” on Sunday, June 12, beginning at 1:30 pm from the Gowanda Free Methodist Church. Walkers of all ages are invited to participate and ask friends, relatives, and neighbors to sponsor them. All funds received will help reach out to women with crisis pregnancies. Free services include peer counseling, pregnancy testing, pre-natal vitamins, baby clothes, baby furniture, and referrals for additional services. Contact Audrianne Eddy at 532-5056 for information.

HOST FAMILIES NEEDED. The annual ISI Conference, Memorial Day Weekend, will be based from Hamburg Wesleyan Church this year and host families are needed for college International students coming to the area. Let Harriett know you can help!

The Church’s financial statement for April 2011 is posted for review in the office over the copy machine.

CALENDAR

Join us for Bible study and prayer at 7:00 pm. We’re in Chapter 4 of our study in Hebrews called “The Supremacy of Christ”.

Saturday, May 21st
Join us for our 8th FCC Leadership Forum. We are pleased to welcome back T. David Gordon, Professor of Greek and Religion at Grove City College. Dr. Gordon will address the theme of Christian worship in a media-saturated age. He will remain with us on the Lord’s Day, at which time he will address our adult Sunday school class and preach during our family worship time. See the bulletin insert for details and sign-up in the foyer for this important event.

Sunday, May 22nd
Join area churches in the newly completed sanctuary of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Angola for a community hymn at 6:30 pm. Refreshments to follow.

Sunday, June 12th
As part of the weekend celebration marking the 100th Anniversary of the founding of North Collins (village), area churches are assembling for an outdoor service of thanksgiving. Join Christians from the Holy Spirit, Sacred Heart of Mary, Wesleyan, and Congregational churches at the library pavilion at 2:00 pm to thank God in song, historical testimonies, and a word of challenge. There will be an old-fashioned picnic to follow. Derek will be coordinating this service. If you’d like to help out, see him.
