ANNOUNCEMENTS
After service next week (Aug 7th) the Yoders plan to head to Michigan for two weeks of vacation. Guest preachers are being finalized for Aug 14th and 21st. Derek will be back in the study on Tuesday, Aug 24th.
Next Sunday we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper. If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time. Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body. A fellowship meal is not planned for next week.
Upcoming Dates to Remember!
August 28th – Sunday Night Out (2)
September 18th – Sunday Night Out (3)
CALENDAR
Wednesday, August 3rd
Choir practice at the church at 6:00 p.m.
Bible study and prayer at 7:00 p.m. We’re in Chapter 6 of our study in Hebrews called “The Supremacy of Christ.” Be meditating on the next hymn we will discuss (“More Love to Thee”). Extra copies of the hymn are on the back table along with T. David Gordon’s “Hymns: Criteria for Making Good Ones.” It’s a great time to join us.
Get the most out of the service by asking about our special listening devices. Pick up one in the back or see an usher for help. If yours isn’t working properly, don’t be bashful about raising your hand to ask for assistance.
