Get the most out of the service by asking about our special listening devices. Pick up one in the back or see an usher for help. If yours isn’t working properly, don’t be bashful about raising your hand to ask for assistance.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Next Sunday we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper. If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time. Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body. A fellowship meal is not planned at this time.

Irene Johnson doesn’t get out much as she would like, but she thinks of us often and welcomes visitors all the time! Let’s show her we’re thinking of her too, by dropping her a note at 4590 Southwestern Blvd, Apt AA2A, Hamburg, NY 14075. You can e-mail her at johnson.irene8@gmail.com.

This season marks the beginning of an experimental youth group (“3D Youth”) in conjunction with the First Church of Evans. It’s a practical way to combine resources toward a common goal – discipling young people, building relationships, and constructing a Christian worldview. See insert for details.

CALENDAR
Wednesday, September 28th

Choir practice at the church at 6:00 pm

Bible Study and Prayer at 7:00 pm. We’re finishing up Chapter 6 in our study in Hebrews (“The Supremacy of Christ”). It’s a great time to join us. Be meditating on the next hymn in our discussion series (“One Day”). Extra copies are on the back table along with T. David Gordon’s “Hymns: Criteria for Making Good Ones.”

The annual ISI Fall Banquet will be held at Banchetti Banquet Facility, 550 North French Road, Amherst beginning at 6:15 pm. Jerry Gillis, Lead Pastor at The Chapel at Crosspoint is guest speaker.

September is a month of milestone birthdays. Frank Gruppo turned 95 on the 16th and Evelyn Falk turns 100 (!) on the 30th. Let’s remember these faithful friends with prayers, cards, and flowers.
