Steff Hymnal Fund! Deadline for
first order of new Trinity Hymnals is Sunday, March 25. We
will be placing the first order soon after, for half of what we need to supply
all the pews in the sanctuary! Donations for a 2nd major purchase will
still be accepted after that date. Thank you to all who have contributed
so far!
The Dewey Missionary Ladies are
constructing Hygiene Kits for overnight visitors at the Cornerstone
Manor. If you want to give any small shampoos, conditioners, lipsticks,
deodorants, or travel toothpastes/toothbrushes, you may donate them to this
group. Thank you for your generosity!
The Church’s financial statements for January and
February 2012 are posted for review in the office over the copy machine.

3DYouth Group meets tonight 6:00-7:30 pm at the
First Church of Evans. Life lessons from
Timothy followed by “Sponge Ball Mania” and refreshments.
Wednesday,
March 21st
Choir practice at the church at 6:00 pm.
Bible study and prayer meeting at the church at
7:00 p.m. We’re in Chapter 9 of our
Hebrews study (“The Supremacy of Christ”).
Also, be meditating on the next hymn in our discussion series (“Great Is
Thy Faithfulness”). Extra copies are on
the back table along with T. David Gordon’s “Hymns: Criteria for Making Good
Ones.”

Save
the date and come help! Our Sit-n-Sew
Day was very productive, with the making of one and a half tops for lap
quilts. Thank you, ladies! We also found 5 twin-sized quilt tops all
pieced and ready to pin and quilt! Our next session will be held on
Thursday, April 12 at 10 AM. Save the date and come
help, as we iron, cut fabric, sew, and pin layers of quilts
together. We hope to donate the quilts to local nursing homes, City
Mission, Cornerstone Manor, and organizations within the North Collins area.
