Get the most out of the service by asking
about our special listening devices.
Pick up one in the back or see an usher
for help. If yours isn’t working
properly, don’t be bashful about raising
your hand to ask for assistance.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
The church’s financial statement for May 2012 is posted for
review in the office over the copy machine.
An order is going to be placed in the next week or so for
additional Trinity Hymnals through the Dorothy Steff Hymnal Fund! We could use about 60 more at $15.00 each to fill all the church
pews. If you would like to fill out an order form on the back table,
you may do so. Otherwise, we will create an order based on our
donations. It would be helpful to our Treasurer if you would mark your
gift: "Hymnal Fund." Thank you for your generosity, and may God bless
us as we worship him in joyful song!
Each year, the Conference invites churches to set aside one Sunday
a year to highlight the ministries, developments, and special needs of
CCCC. Note the enclosed inert. For the next several weeks, we will be
receiving special contributions designated to help support the ongoing
ministries of the CCCC.
CALENDAR
Tuesday, June 19th
Choir practice at the church at 6:00 pm.
Join us at the church at 7:00 pm for our ongoing study in
our study in Hebrews (“The Supremacy of Christ”). Also, be meditating on the next hymn in our
discussion series (“And Can it Be?”).
Extra copies are on the back table along with T. David Gordon’s “Hymns:
Criteria for Making Good Ones”.
Wednesday, June 20th
Check
out “Ask the Pastor” at 2:00 pm (TCT Network and Dish Network channel 26;
DirecTV does not carry the program), as Derek tries to make good use of this
special opportunity. “Ask the Pastor” is
a live call-in program with a panel of five area Senior Pastors answering view questions
about life and the Bible from the Bible.
Saturday, June 23rd
Join
us for our 9th Annual Leadership Forum. Dr. Drake Williams, currently serving as Vice
President of Academic Affairs, Academic Dean, and Professor of New Testament
Language and Literature at Tyndale Seminary (the Netherlands) will be our guest
speaker. His theme is “Leadership Then
and Now: Ideas from Corinthians for
Today”. The Williamses are CCCC members
and recent additions to our own missionary roster. See the sign-up in the foyer.
