Get
the most out of the service by asking about our special listening devises. Pick
up one in the back or see an usher for help.
If yours isn’t working property, don’t be bashful about raising your
hand to ask for assistance.
Announcements
During Advent, our morning worship services will
commemorate the season with candles, readings, banners, and special
messages. This year’s theme is “The Gospel Preached Beforetimes”. We’ll consider how the
OT stories of Joshua, Moses, David, and Abraham can prepare God’s people for
Christmas.
3DYouth Group meets IN LESS THAN THREE HOURS (1:30 pm) at
the First Church of Evans to help serve Operation Good Neighbor volunteers at
their annual Christmas banquet. Come
wearing white shirts, dark pants, and sensible shoes. After we serve, we meet for life lessons from
Mark and pizza.
Be praying with the Nominating
Committee as it works to prepare a slate of candidates to be considered for
office at the Annual Meeting in February 2014.
To submit names for consideration or to make any other comments
regarding the nominating process, see Olive, Fred, or Derek in the coming
weeks. Pray with us during this
important time in our church.
Our Sunday School sponsors a child, Ndulu Mulinge, in Kenya through World Vision. We would like to send her a special Christmas
gift. We would be happy to accept
donations from the congregation. Simply
label your donation as “Gift to World Vision Child”. Thank you for your help providing for
children around the world.
If you would like to be on the 2014
rotation of
Sunday morning scripture readers,
see Derek.
