3DYouth
Group meets here at 6:00 pm TONIGHT
for life lessons from Mark followed by games and refreshments.
The
North Collins High School will be using our building for extra testing space
one more time. The last group meets here
on Monday. Thank you for your understanding
as we try to be good neighbors (and good lights) to our friends across the
street.
Next
Sunday we will celebrate the Lord’s
Supper. If you would like to
participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to
arrange another time. Don’t be shy about
taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his
body. A fellowship meal following the
service IS planned!
If you are looking for ways to help in the wake of
the Nepalese earthquake, you may want to consider routing charitable gifts to
the Nepal Disaster Relief Fund through Christian Aid Mission, P.O. Box 9037,
Charlottesville, VA 22906. Indicate Gift
Code 702DIS.
Calendar
Wednesday, June 3rd
Choir
practice at 6:00 pm.
Join
us for Bible study and prayer at the church at 7:00 pm. In our survey of the great themes of Genesis,
we’re beginning Chapter 12 and the life of Father Abraham. It’s a great time to join us!
Saturday,
June 6th
3DYouth
service project in the morning with Community Concern in Eden. More details on the way.
Saturday,
June 13th and Sunday, June 14th
Plan
now to join us for our 12th annual Leadership Forum. T. David Gordon, this year’s guest lecturer,
will be with us to speak (tentatively) about the idea of “temple” in redemptive
history, in eschatology, and in Christian worship. It’s sure to be an enjoyable, challenging
weekend of learning and application.
Sunday, June
28th
3DYouth
Year-End Picnic at the Doles’ Pond. Plan
to meet at 4:00 pm for our regular time of worship and singing, life lessons
from Mark, and games, followed by a picnic meal of hot dogs & s’mores.
Get
the most out of the service by asking about our special listening devices. Pick up one in the back or see an usher for
help. If yours isn’t working properly,
don’t be bashful about raising your hand to ask for assistance.
