Announcements
The
2019 Advent season begins December 1st, two weeks from today! Our morning
worship services will commemorate the season with candles, readings, and
special messages. This year’s theme is
“TIDINGS OF COMFORT AND JOY.” It will focus on the good news of Christmas—how
through the incarnation, God draws near, pledges the impossible, makes
long-distance promises, and offers hope beyond grief. Pray that this will be an
encouraging, challenging time in our congregation as we reflect on Jesus’ work
at Christmas.
The
church’s financial statement for October 2019 is posted for review in the
office over the copy machine.
Be
praying with the Nominating Committee as it meets to put together a slate of
candidates for office at the Annual Meeting in February 2020. If you would like
to know more about our church’s nomination and election process, if you would
like to submit a name for nomination, or if you believe the Lord is urging you
to step forward—don’t hesitate to speak to Olive, Fred, or Derek.
If you would be
interested in being a reader or singer in this year’s Christmas Program,
“Vessels of Mercy” please see Kathy!
Don’t forget to silence your devices.
