Ladies Bible Study begins a new study, “Women of the New Testament”. Interested? The group meets at 7:30 pm at Evie Mann’s home. See Alice Yoder for details.

Wednesday, March 21st
Wednesday Bible Study & Prayer Meeting meets at 7:00 pm, continuing with our study of Matthew’s gospel. We’re finishing up Jesus’ “Parables of Preparation” in Chapter 25. Are you ready? It’s a great time to join us.

Thursday, March 22nd
Elder’s meeting at 6:30 pm. Come ready to discuss Chapters 1-2 in “The Elders Handbook”.

At this year’s Annual Meeting, the congregation approved a proposal to purchase a memorial brick on the Schoolhouse #8 “Walk of Remembrance”. The brick will read: “First Congregational Church, est. 1817”. On March 25th, a special collection will be taken to cover the purchase price of $100. All contributions given beyond this amount will be transferred to the general fund.

Interest has been expressed in joining the church. If others would like to be part of a class for prospective members, see Derek or one of the Elders. The class is designed for those considering church membership, but if you’re already a member and still haven’t the foggiest idea what Congregationalism is all about or would like to learn more about the rich history of the CCCC or our local church, come and sit in on these 3- or 4- session class. Details to follow.

The Church’s financial statements for January – February 2007 are posted for review in the office over the copy machine.

I would like to thank everyone who sent cards for the loss of my daughter-in-law. God bless all of you. Evie Holcomb.
