Ladies Bible Study begins a new study, “Women of the New Testament”. Interested? The group meets at 7:30 pm at Evie Mann’s home. See Alice Yoder for details.

Wednesday, March 28th
Wednesday Bible Study & Prayer Meeting meets at 7:00 pm, continuing with our study of Matthew’s gospel. We’re finishing up Jesus’ “Parables of Preparation” in Chapter 25. Are you ready? It’s a great time to join us.

At this year’s Annual Meeting, the congregation approved a proposal to purchase a memorial brick on the Schoolhouse #8 “Walk of Remembrance”. The brick will read: “First Congregational Church, est. 1817”. Today a special collection will be taken to cover the purchase price of $100. All contributions given beyond this amount will be transferred to the general fund.

Interest has been expressed in joining the church. If others would like to be part of a class for prospective members, see Derek or one of the Elders. The class is designed for those considering church membership, but if you’re already a member and still haven’t the foggiest idea what Congregationalism is all about or would like to learn more about the rich history of the CCCC or our local church, come and sit in on these 3- or 4- session class. Details to follow.

Be sure to reserve Saturday, May 5th on your calendars. Dr. T. David Gordon, Professor of Religion and Greek at Grove City College, will be with us to facilitate our 5th Annual Leadership Seminar. All are welcome. Stay tuned for details.

Looking ahead to Holy Week:

April 1st – Palm Sunday
April 5th – Maundy Thursday. Join us at 7:00 pm for our traditional candlelight vigil as we commemorate the Last Supper, followed by a Communion Meal.
April 6th – Good Friday. Our friends from the Wesleyan Church will host this year’s Good Friday service at 7:00 pm. Refreshments to follow. You may want to bring a favorite dessert to share.
April 8th – Easter Sunday. We’ve been invited to join our friends on the hill for a Sunrise Service at 8:00 am. Following that, we’ll meet back here for our traditional Easter Brunch, starting about 9:30. (There will be no Sunday School.) Our family worship service begins at the regular time of 10:45.

Plan now to be part of these special Holy Week services!

If you would like to remember a loved one with an Easter lily or flower arrangement for our Easter worship service, please let Lori Clapper know by Thursday, April 5th. Feel free to call and leave a message at 337-3298 or e-mail:
