Announcements

The church’s financial statement for September 2011 is posted for review in the office over the copy machine.

Check out “Ask the Pastor” on Wed, Oct. 19th, at 2 pm. (TCT Network and Dish Network channel 26, DirecTV does not carry the program), as Derek tries to make good use of this special opportunity. “Ask the Pastor” is a live call-in program with a panel of five area Senior Pastors answering viewer questions about life and the Bible from the Bible.

In place of our regular fellowship meal following next month’s Communion service on Nov 6th, plan to join us downstairs for a Harvest Dinner. Turkey and stuffing will be provided, but be thinking about a “seasonal favorite” to pass—a special dish that symbolizes God’s provision of love and blessing. Details to follow.

To the Deaconesses:
I wish to express my sincere thanks to the Deaconesses for all your beautiful cards, presence at my birthday party, flowers, and numerous other gifts. The picture album involved so much time and work, and I shall treasure it because it came from my church family. Then, the shopping bag with more gifts! I shall treasure your many kindnesses. May God continue to bless each of you for your friendship and many kind deeds. As always, Evelyn L. Falk

Calendar

There will be no choir practice or Bible study this week, in order to free up people’s schedule so they can come out on Thursday.

Thurs. Oct. 20th – Join us for an evening with Roy & Ruthie! At 6:00 p.m., we’ll be sharing a soup and salad supper with the Shelpmans, followed at 7:00 by a presentation of their ministry in Haiti. Plan to join us for all or part of this special evening of fellowship. See the sign-up in the foyer.

Sat. Oct. 29th - The annual CCCC Fall Banquet is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Join area WNY churches as we gather at the Stockton Community Church to welcome keynote speaker Gerald Britton, warden of Warren County Prison. Tickets are $15. See sign-up sheet in the foyer for details.

Sun. Oct. 30th – It’s our turn to host our quarterly Singspiration! Jim Raub will be our special guest accompanist as we welcome friends from participating churches for an evening of worship, singing, and fellowship beginning at 6:30 p.m. You may want to bring a dessert to share with a harvest/Thanksgiving theme. Plan now to be part of this very popular service.
