Announcements
Next week marks the beginning of Advent 2011! Our morning worship services will commemorate the season with Advent candles, readings, banners, and special messages. This year’s theme is “Advent of the Evangel”. Over the next month, we’ll consider how the Christmas stories fit within the unique themes of each of the four gospels. Let’s prepare our hearts together for this special season.
Be praying with the Nominating Committee as it meets to prepare a slate of candidates to be considered for office at the Annual Meeting in February 2012. To submit names for consideration or to make any other comments pertaining to the nominating process, see Olive, Fred or Derek in the coming weeks. Pray with us during this important time in our church.

3DYouth Group meets tonight at the First Church of Evans at 6:00 pm. Life lessons from Timothy followed by their traditional “Hanging of the Greens” and refreshments.
Wednesday, November 23rd
Choir practice at the church at 6:00 p.m.
Bible study and prayer meeting is suspended because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Join us the following week (November 30th) as we discuss the classic Christian hymn “Be Thou My Vision”. Extra copies are on the back table along with T. David Gordon’s “Hymns: Criteria for Making Good Ones.”
