Announcements
This
morning, we welcome Tom Dalbo back to North Collins. Longtime friend of Bruce Brown and
accomplished artist, Pastor Dalbo is also the retired pastor of Winchester
Community Church in West Seneca, where he served for over 30 years! Let’s give him our full attention as he
brings a message from God’s word.
The
Yoders are vacationing in Michigan with Derek’s parents this week. Our guest speaker next week will be Mr.
Rasheedd Akhtar, the ISI’s South Asia Campus Minister. Be praying for the Yoders during this time of
travel, relaxation, and family time.
Contact Bruce Temple with any important matters in Derek’s absence.
Calendar
Wednesday, August 12th
Bible
study will be suspended for the next couple weeks. But we’ll get back to our survey of the great
themes of Genesis on Wednesday, August 19th. Join us as we take another look at the
fascinating story of Melchizedek in Chapter 14.
It’s a great time to join us!
Making Sense
of Job
Notes on Job 23:1-17 – “The patriarch Job
refrains from indignantly denying Eliphaz’ unfounded charges. Instead, he resumes the theme of his previous
speech in Chapter 21. Job ponders the
perplexing absence of discernible justice in God’s dealings with himself, a
righteous man, and with the wicked.”
