Get
the most out of the service by asking about our special listening devises.
Pick
up one in the back or see an usher for help.
If yours isn’t working property, don’t be bashful about raising your
hand to ask for assistance.
Announcements
Be praying with the Nominating
Committee as it works to prepare
a slate of candidates to be
considered for office at the Annual Meeting in February.
June
2017
will be here before you know it! In
preparation for FCC’s bicentennial, we will be forming a Bicentennial Committee
to help coordinate the celebration. If
you have ideas or want to have a part in planning for this important milestone
in our church’s history, see Derek.
This
morning
marks the beginning of Advent 2015! Our
morning worship services will commemorate the season with candles, readings,
and special messages. This year’s theme
is “We Have Heard on High”, a
series of Advent reflections on the angelic messengers in the Christmas story,
their message, and what we can learn from their startling appearances
throughout redemptive history. Pray that
this will be an encouraging, challenging time in our congregations.
Calendar
Wednesday,
December 2nd
Choir
practice at the church at 6:00 pm.
Join us
for Bible study and prayer at the church at 7:00 pm. In our survey of the great themes of Genesis,

Chapter 18. It’s a great time to join
us!
Friday,
December 4th
Join us as
the Hamburg Classical Guitar Quartet performs an advent concert of sacred and
seasonal music here at 7:00 pm. See the
poster in the foyer.
Saturday,
December 5th
“Good Tidings of Great
Joy to All the World!” Ladies, please
join us at 12 noon for our annual Christmas luncheon. Bring a favorite dish to share. A special offering will be collected for our
speaker, Joy VanDette, who is planning to teach at an orphanage in the
Philippines. Checks may be made payable
to the Dewey Missionary Society.
