Announcements
Thank you to all who made last weekend’s Leadership Forum such a success!  Let’s continue to reflect on Dean Smith’s challenges from the Beatitudes, that our lives might reflect the character and conduct of Jesus’ kingdom.

Don’t forget!  Join us tonight at 6:30 pm for our fall Singspiration!  It’s our turn to host, so you may want to bring a favorite “harvest” dessert to share afterward.

Calendar
Monday, October 31st
“Light Up the Night” … our teens will be distributing candy and Christian tracts on our front corner during the Village’s “trick-or-treat” hours.

Wednesday, November 2nd
Join us for Bible study and prayer meeting at the church at 7:00 pm as we continue our survey of the great themes of Genesis. We’re looking at Jacob’s “wrestlings” with God and man in Chapter 32.  It’s a great time to join us!

Thursday, November 3rd
Choir practice at the church at 3:00 pm.

Sunday, November 6th
3DYouth Group meets here at 6:00 pm for life lessons from Mark followed by games and refreshments.

Sunday, November 6 is the International Day of Prayer for the persecuted Church. Christians around the world are facing persecution in unprecedented numbers. We will be taking an offering to send to The Voice of the Martyrs ministry to the persecuted church on this Sunday. Please feel free to designate your special donation for the persecuted church and remember to pray for the church around the world.  (see insert)

Sunday, November 13th

In two weeks, we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper.  If you would like to participate but are unable to be here, see Derek or one of the Elders to arrange another time.  Don’t be shy about taking full advantage of this important gesture of unity with Christ and his body.  A fellowship meal following the service IS scheduled.  Also, plan to linger over coffee and dessert for a brief family meeting.  If you have any questions or concerns about church life, feel free to raise them during our informal time together.
