Announcements
During Advent 2014, our morning worship services will commemorate the season with candles, readings, banners, and special messages.  This year’s theme is “Flesh of Our Flesh”, a series of reflections on the importance of Christ’s taking on human flesh.  Pray that this will be an encouraging, challenging time in our congregation.

Check out “Ask the Pastor” on Friday, December 19th at 2:00 pm (TCT Network and Dish Network channel 26, DirecTV does not carry the program).  “Ask the Pastor” is a live call-in program with a panel of five area pastors answering viewer questions about life and the Bible from the Bible.  It’s Derek’s turn to sit on the panel.  Pray for him as he tries to think fast and make the most of this unique opportunity.

If you have photographs of special occasions from 2014 you want included in our “Collage of Memories” slideshow, get them to Garry (prints or digital formats are fine).  We’re planning to make them a part of our service on December 28th.

In an effort to reduce the cost of heating the church building, the Church Board again recommends meeting for worship in the Adult Sunday School classroom during the coldest winter months.  We are tentatively planning to hold our first worship service downstairs in the “Winter Chapel” on December 28th at our regular time of 10:45 am.  Thank you for your understanding in this important matter. ~ The Church Board

The church’s financial statement for November 2014 is posted for review
in the office over the copy machine.

Sunday, December 21st

Wednesday, December 24th
Christmas Even Candlelight Service.  Join us for our traditional Christmas Eve service at 6:30 pm as we prepare our hearts for this special holiday.

Singspiration! at Lake View Community Church.  The Christmas season comes to a close with “Little Christmas” at 6:30 pm.  Refreshments to follow.

We home you can join us at the Parsonage for our Christmas Tea between 2 and 5 pm this afternoon.  It’s a time for our family to express the love and appreciation we feel to all of you who mean so much to us.  Feel free to stop by for favorite holiday foods with good friends.  We look forward to sharing this special time with you.
