Announcements

The church’s financial statement for April 2016 is posted for review in the office over the copy machine.

Earlier this spring, the Lakeview Community Church’s parsonage sustained considerable interior damage from a water leak – a problem made worse by a balking insurance company.  The regional CCCC conference is inviting area churches to contribute toward the “Lakeview Parsonage Project”.  For the next several weeks, we will be taking a second collection for those who would like to participate.

Calendar

This Afternoon - May 15th
FYI – Jill Finkley will be using our sanctuary (more specifically, our acoustic piano) for a piano recital for her students at 3:00 pm.

Wednesday, May 18th
Choir practice at the church at 6:00 pm.

Join us for Bible study and prayer meeting at 7:00 pm. We’re continuing our survey of the great themes of Genesis.  We’re studying the tumultuous story of Jacob and Esau in Chapter 27.  (Don’t forget your homework assignment: How does the familiar scene of Jacob and Esau in front of their blind father foreshadow the gospel?)  It’s a great time to join us!

Thursday, May 19th
Our next Dewey Missionary Society meeting will meet at 10:00 am.

Thursday, May 26

Sit'n'Sew will be back at church in the Adult Sunday School Room this month!  Join us to choose, cut, and create new patterns for future quilts!  Instructions will be given for rotary cutting of fabric.
