Announcements
Earlier
this spring, the Lakeview Community Church’s parsonage sustained considerable
interior damage from a water leak – a problem made worse by a balking insurance
company. The regional CCCC conference is
inviting area churches to contribute toward the “Lakeview Parsonage
Project”. For the next several weeks, we
will be taking a second collection for those who would like to participate.
In
some Christian traditions, today is known as Trinity Sunday. Many churches pause on this day to reflect
specifically on God’s tri-personality as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The red scarf remains on the cross this
morning and the red stole on the lectern (with its three interlocking circles)
to mark this Christian truth.
Calendar
Wednesday,
May 25th
Choir
practice at the church at 6:00 pm.
Join us for Bible
study and prayer meeting at 7:00 pm. We’re continuing our survey of the great
themes of Genesis. We’re studying the
tumultuous story of Jacob and Esau in Chapter 27. It’s a great time to join us!
Thursday, May 26
Sit'n'Sew will be back at church in the
Adult Sunday School Room this month! Join us to choose, cut, and create
new patterns for future quilts! Instructions will be given for rotary
cutting of fabric.
