Sunday School 9:30 am        Family Worship Service 10:45 am
Wait in Prayer        Worship in Reverence        Depart to Serve
Be mindful that the few minutes before the service are set aside to help prepare for worship.  Some use this time to pray or meditate on the call to worship or just be quiet before the Lord.  Let’s keep our visiting before the service to a minimum – or better, let’s wait until after the service.

Announcements
Our morning worship services will commemorate the Advent season with candles, readings, banners, and special messages.  This year’s theme is ‘What Child Is This?’ and will explore some familiar details of the Nativity stories and how they help prepare us for Christ’s death and resurrection.  Also, special thanks to Carol Allen for designing and painting this year’s Advent banners!

This year’s Missions Project is collecting items for our local food pantry on Franklin Ave. Your gifts of canned and packaged non-perishable food items, such as tuna, mayo, soups, canned beef stew, jelly, spaghetti, etc. can be brought in during the month of December, for delivery before Christmas.        – Dewey Missionary Society

If you have photographs of special occasions from 2016 and want them included in our “Collage of Memories” year-end slideshow, get them to Garry (prints or digital formats are fine).  We’re planning to make them a part of our service on January 1st.

Be praying with the Nominating Committee as it works to prepare a slate of candidates to be considered for office at the Annual Meeting in February 2017.  To submit names, see Olive, Fred or Derek.
