Merry Christmas
Wait in Prayer Worship in Reverence Depart to Serve
Be mindful that the few minutes before the service
are set aside to help prepare for worship.
Some use this time to pray or meditate on the call to worship or just be
quiet before the Lord. Let’s keep our
visiting before the service to a minimum – or
better, let’s wait until after the service.

Announcements
Congratulations
go out to Jen and Dan Haney on the safe arrival of Thomas Garrett, born last
Sunday afternoon! Mother and baby are
doing well.
Be praying
with the Nominating Committee as it works to prepare a slate of candidates to
be considered for office at the Annual Meeting February 11, 2017. To submit names, see Olive, Fred or Derek.
In an effort
to reduce the cost of heating the church building, the Church Board again
recommends meeting for worship in the Adult Sunday School classroom during the
coldest winter months. We are planning
to hold our first worship service downstairs in the “Winter Chapel” beginning next
week, January 1st, at our regular time of 10:45
am. Thank you for your understanding in
this important matter.

Advent is a wonderful time of year, but it means lots of work. Special thanks to all of you who put in the extra
time and energy to make it such a meaningful season for the rest of us! - Derek, for the Elders
